CodeYard was a small development agency in Hungary founded by two college guys from an apartment.
Their goal was to build a company and a team where everyone is looking forward to mondays, making those products their own
on which they work.

The team was still only 5 people but they have already started to deal with the corporate culture. They knew that as a small company they couldn’t compete with the offers of the larger companies so they focused on building the community, they didn’t just want to pay people, they wanted to create a healthy, friendly environment.

They wanted to reward the people who do the most for the team so they started a month’s employee election.
It was still offline at the time, the team got together and everyone cast their vote along with a justification. The winner could request a gift within a certain amount and receive the wandering goblet for a month.
Over time, they began to feel that the performance of more than ten people throughout the month was very difficult to collect once a month and compare.

That's when they started before a technological shift, motivac.io started as a tech-demo. They thought they were trying out new technologies that they could apply to client projects, so they looked around for a task they could simplify and improve within the company, and since most feedback systems didn’t work for them, they made their own.

The company has grown, motivac.io has developed and performed well within the team, after a while they realized that if it was so useful to them, it could probably be for someone else too.
They didn't even notice and they had a product.

The goal of motivac.io is to help other companies reinforce their core values and develop an awesome corporate culture, as has been the case with CodeYard.
